This competition proved too much and too expensive for Microsoft, although Facebook and YouTube have had more success likely due to their built-in network of users. Between YouTube, Facebook, and many smaller streaming sites attempting to find their place among the giants, hosting streaming content has never been more difficult or more competitive.
